Debbie was born on October 3, 1963, in Walla Walla to Ernest (Henry) Charlo and Virginia (Ginnie) Sams Charlo. She attended Walla Walla Schools, graduating from DeSales High School in 1982.
During her earlier years Debbie was employed in food service, retail and clerical positions in Walla Walla. Debbie was a kind and caring person, always ready with a smile, encouraging words, and thoughtful gestures. Family and friends were very important to Debbie and time spent with family was precious to her.
She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. Debbie was very close to her parents and in later years as their health declined, she was a loving companion and care giver, and a tireless advocate for them. She cherished being a part of the lives of her great niece and great nephews.
She was always very supportive and took a keen interest in the lives of and events of all of her family. She enjoyed family trips to Wallowa Lake, the Blue Mountains and the Oregon Coast. Her flower garden was her passion, and her faithful tending of her flowers brought color and beauty to the family home, and immense satisfaction to her.
She was very proud to be able to help keep up the yard and garden at her family home to her Dad’s high standards when his health began to decline. She enjoyed baking, usually returning to favorite family cookie recipes that had been her Mom’s, and enjoyed by her family as she was growing up. Debbie fought her battle with brain cancer with a strength, tenacity and a positive attitude that inspired those around her, and, she readily admitted surprised herself.
Debbie accepted Jesus as her Savior; and this brought her peace while she was on earth. She has now found eternal peace with Him. Debbie was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother of Walla Walla; her sister, Rebecca (John) Fazzari; brother, David (Jenny) Charlo; niece, Breann (Justin) Klinginsmith; great nephews, Parks and Boyd Klinginsmith all of Clarkston, Wa; niece, Cory (Mike) Webster; great niece, Noelle; and great nephew, Jameson Webster of Post Falls, ID. She was very loved and will be missed so much. Private immediate family services will be held.
