Obituary for Debra kay Brinkerhoff Debra Kay Brinkerhoff Lady Debra Kay Brinkerhoff, age 63, passed beautifully to the spirit world on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018. She was surrounded by family who loved her deeply. She valiantly and bravely fought pancreatic cancer during the last months of her life.
Lady Deb was born June 5th, 1954 in Sacramento California, to Dean and Gloria Moser. She was raised in North Hollywood California and graduated from North Hollywood High School, before studying at Ricks College. She met her Knight in Shining Armor, Wilford Duain Brinkerhoff, and they were sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Los Angeles Temple on October 12, 1974.
After their wedding they moved to the booming metropolis of Bicknell Utah (that’s Bicknell Bottoms to be exact). Debra and Duain raised their 4 crazy kids on the family farm. Debra loves music, butterflies, the color purple, and she loves to make up words!
She created a culture of kindness, an atmosphere of love and acceptance, and a feeling of fun wherever she went. Debra has the greatest capacity to love… unconditionally. She has the ability to make everyone she meets feel how special they are.
She can soften any heart and bring a smile to any face. She is a master at coining phrases that are fun and meaningful—and these phrases will continue in her family forever. For example: “I’ll give you $100 if…”, “I chubby your cheeks”, “Children of the Earth”, “I lovelor blind you”, “I hug you!
I kiss you! I tickle you! ”, “Always believe that good things will come!
” Debra loves her Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ with all her soul! This is evident by the way she lived her life. Every kind word, every loving smile or touch, every ray of light she shares, is a reflection of the Love of our Heavenly Father.
Her faith and testimony continue to be one of her most beautiful and influential gifts that she shares with all who know her. The depth of her influence for good on this earth cannot be quantified and will continue to bless generations to come! Debra teaches us, by her sweet example, how to live….
always looking Heavenward. Believing, loving, lifting, finding joy in the journey, simplifying, creating, living in gratitude and humility, living by faith, forgiving, and trusting. Debra is preceded in death by her father, Dean Porter Moser.
She is survived by her husband, Wilford Duain Brinkerhoff, their “earth” children, Joshua & Kristina Brinkerhoff, Nathan & Sara Brinkerhoff, Heidi & Troy Andersen, Heather & Jackson Westenskow and 11 grandchildren. Also her Mother Gloria Moser Nixon, her sisters Melinda & M. LaDon Torgersen, Julie & Tony DeSandre, and brothers Steven Moser & Mike Talbot, & Mick Voges; as well as many other supportive and loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
