Obituary for Dee D Gardner Dee D Gardner March 5, 1925 – October 6, 2016 Dee D Gardner, age 93, of Queen City TX, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Focus Care Nursing Home in Linden TX. Dee was born March 5, 1925 in Anadarko OK to Will and Cynthia (Henderson) Gardner. He was retired form Cass County Precinct III and was a member of Courtland Baptist Church in Atlanta TX.

Dee loved raising a garden and playing dominos. Preceding Dee in death are his parents Will and Cynthia (Henderson) Gardner; wife Mary Ellen (Myrtle) Gardner; sons Rodney Dale Gardner, Paul Steve Thurman, and Thomas G Long; sisters Helen Richardson, Viola Williams, Catherine Williams, Daisy Miles, Lorene Daniels, Mildred (Syble) Whittington, and Mary McGuffie; brothers Charles Gardner, Fred Gardner, Lee Gardner, and Howard Gardner. He is survived by his son Bobby Long of Nashville TN; grandchildren Heather Thurman-Roach and husband Lester of Atlanta TX, Elleigh Gardner of Baltimore MD, Cullen Gardner of Texarkana TX, Sandy Mahon of Atlanta TX, Tonya Domokos and husband Alex of Atlanta TX, Monty Long and wife Amber of Dyerburg TN, Chad Long and wife Melissa of Cabot AR, and Twyla Long of Nashville TN; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

A visitation will be held in Dee’s honor at Queen City Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 10, 2018, beginning at 12:00 PM and ending at 1:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at Queen City Funeral Home that same afternoon, beginning at 2:00 PM. Dee will be interred at Queen City Cemetery immediately following his services.
