Obituary for Vernon Wilson DeWitt Vernon Wilson DeWitt 21 December 1941 – 29-November 2018 Vernon Wilson DeWitt, born in Ft Fairfield Maine, passed from this life at home surrounded by his sons in Texarkana TX, November 29, 2018. Mr. DeWitt was 76 years old. Vernon is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Hafford) DeWitt; parents Clarence and Ida (Jenkins) DeWitt; son Tim DeWitt; brothers Wayne, Gary, and Dale DeWitt; and sisters Sharon Sprague and Joyce Stanfield.

He is survived by his sons Sam DeWitt of Texarkana TX, Steve DeWitt and wife Erika of Texarkana TX, Mike DeWitt of Texarkana TX, and Hampton DeWitt and wife Anne of Madison Maine; sisters Signa Doughty of Ft Fairfield Maine, and Doreen Cyr and husband Gerald of Presque Isle Maine; and four grandchildren. Vernon was a custodian and bus driver for the school district for over 30 years. He will be cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home.
