The following lines serve to announce the passing of a Louisiana native, a Ruston High School alumnus, Davison Transport Driver, an avid outdoorsman, a crack shot with a rifle, a gifted mentor whose whit, honesty, and humor will be missed by the countless people who had the good fortune to know John Warren Magee III. He was known by acolytes, peers and loved ones as John, Johnny, Big John, DJ, Mr. John, Uncle Johnny, Papaw and Daddy. If one were to ask him where he came from he would quickly tell them, Lillie, LA (the location of his family land) He spent the majority of his life in Louisiana where he occupied his free time fishing and hunting with friends and family.

During his later years he enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and great grandchildren in Bloomburg, TX. He will forever be remembered for his unmatched kindness, devotion to his wife, love of his progeny and his unbreakable spirit. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Magee, his sons Wayne Wilson, John Magee and Will Magee, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Queen City Cemetery, Sunday, February 24, 2019, beginning at 12:00 noon. Digital condolences and memories may be placed in his honor at www.
