DELANO’s Obituary Obituary Delano Vigil, 60 Delano Tobias Vigil, 60, of Blackfoot, Idaho died of broken heart after the recent passing of his beloved mother and she called him home to be with her, Sunday, March 3, 2019. Delano was born May 27, 1958 in Oklahoma to Jose Tobias Vigil and Permelia Verone Badhawk Vigil. Delano spent his early years in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended West High School.

He has lived in various places including New Mexico, Utah and has lived the past couple of months in Blackfoot. Delano was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed karate and obtained his blackbelt.

He was a Native American artist and enjoyed playing the harmonica and singing the blues. He liked to study the bible and obtained a certificate in theological studies. Delano is survived by his children, Delano Moses Vigil of Salt Lake City, UT, Deon “De De” Lee Vigil and Richard Alexander Vigil; siblings, Jose Vigil Jr. of Colorado, Marlene Vigil of Blackfoot, Carla Vigil of Taylorsville, UT, Julio Lee Vigil of Santa Rosa, NM, and Magdilana Vigil of Clayton, NM; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Permelia Vigil; and siblings, Virgie Vigil, Joanne Roybal, and Diane Vigil. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Taylorsville 1st Ward, 4845 S. Woodhaven Dr. in Taylorsville, Utah. The family requests that any flowers be bought through Absolutely Flowers @801-566-1325.
