Kristen’s Obituary Kristen Lynn Pohipe, 32, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Bingham Memorial Hospital. Her infant baby girl, Mary Jane Borjas, was silently born just the day before, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Kristen was born August 12, 1986 in Pocatello, Idaho to Richmond Pohipe and Yolanda Tinno Ute.

She attended I.T. Stoddard Elementary, Blackfoot 6th Grade and the Mountain View Middle School. Kristen was a member of the Native American Church. She worked at the Fort Hall Trading Post, Teepee Gas Station and the Sho-Ban Hotel.

She belonged to the Blackfoot Girl Scouts and was a Brownie. She enjoyed beadwork sewing, playing basketball, watching TV, listening to music, traveling and camping. Her greatest joy came in raising her children and spending time with her family and friends.

Kristen is survived by her children, Taelynn Snowy Mae Pohipe, Summer Lynn Pohipe, Trenton Brunette and Gerdina Borjas; her father, Richmond Pohipe; her brothers, Randy Pohipe and Colt Tinno; her sister Felicia Tinno; and her significant other, Kyle Borjas. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Jane, her paternal grandparents, Louie Pohipe and Betty Warren, maternal grandparents, Ivan Tinno Sr. and Phillips Ute, and her uncles, Byron Tissidimit and Flint Humble. Kristen will be taken out to the Richmond Pohipe residence on N. Bannock Road on Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Traditional burial services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2019 at Sand Hill Cemetery. Memories of Kristen and condolences to her family can be shared at www. hawkerfuneralhome.com.
