East Liverpool, OH. Delores (Jean) Dickey of Chester, passed away at the Calcutta Health Care Center on October 9, 2018, following a brief illness. She was born in McGrann, PA on April 25, 1932, the second of four daughters to Leona Blake Robinson and Raymond C. Robinson.

Jean worked for the Hancock County Board of Education for 29 years as a secretary at Wells Junior High School and Oak Glen High School. She was proceeded in death by her first husband Everett H. Mercer, her second husband Thomas H. Dickey and a sister Carolyn (Sue) Hall. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Mark) Wyand of North Royalton and Terri (Dennis) Welker of East Liverpool; and three step-children, Thomas W. Dickey and companion Patty of Pittsburgh, Karen Demers and her husband Robert of Virginia Beach, and Janice Shockey and her husband Brian of Salem.

There are four grandchildren Jennifer, Brandon, Ashley, and Matthew as well as two great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Madison. She is also survived by two sisters: Evelyn Curry of Columbia, South Carolina and Donna (Dave) Smith of Wellsville. Jean’s family is honoring her wishes that no services be held.

Cremation services are being provided by the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
