Denette Ponimoi Tharrington, 47, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home. Born in Sacramento, CA on March 18, 1971, she was the daughter of Vernon & Frances Sanborn of Santa Maria. Denette was a Medical Scribe at Community Health Center and was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband Joseph Kevin Tharrington; one daughter, Keely Iverson of San Luis Obispo; and one son, Zachary Mason; one step-daughter, Jessica Tharrington… Read More » of Henderson NC and one step-son, Zachary Tharrington of Henderson NC; one brother, James Sanborn and one sister, Kathleen Sanborn. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at 11:00am under the direction of Pastor Jon Stone at Crosspointe Baptist Church, located at 1265 W. McCoy, Santa Maria, CA 93455. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Hope Cancer Center located in Santa Maria, CA.
