Denice Kay Hunt, age 62, lifetime Lapeer resident, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019. She was born September 11, 1956 in Flint, to Elmer “Gene” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Ellery) Hunt. Denice graduated from Lapeer High School, class of 1974.

She worked in production at the General Motors Orion Assembly Plant for many years. Denice lived and played on Lake Nepessing for most of her life. She loved the “lake life”, boating, socializing and spending time on the lake with family and friends.

Denice was a very fun person, with a great sense of humor! She had many dear friends at the Lapeer Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2427 and the Lake Inn in Lapeer. Denice will be missed by all who knew her.

Denice is survived by her partner of 30 years: Bill Miller and his children, Aysa and Taylor; her brothers: Larry (Ann) Hunt of Swartz Creek and Doug (Debbie) Hunt of East Tawas; and nieces & nephews: Douglas, Andy, Sara, Ritchie, Julie and Melissa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Gene and Betty Hunt; and sister: Linda Kelley. A celebration of Denice’s life will take place at a later date, probably this summer at the lake!

Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Nepessing Fireworks, c/o Larry Allen, 3971 South Shore Drive, Lapeer, Michigan 48446. Please share condolences and memories at www.
