Dennis L. Croft, 74 of Wolverine passed away on October 18, 2018 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. Dennis was born on April 4, 1944 to Robert Croft and Donna (Ross) Croft in Lima, Ohio. Dennis moved to Northern Michigan in the mid 1970’s, working with several local bands and as a bus driver and mechanic for the Wolverine Community Schools.

He owned and operated Mr. D’s and Whistle Stop Cafe in recent years. On August 17, 2007 he married Patty Mattson in Vanderbilt, MI. His greatest enjoyments were his family, trains, and taking pictures.

Dennis was a member of the Baptist Church of Wolverine, the Lions Club of Indian River, the Wolverine Fire Department, and the Northern Michigan Train Club. Dennis is survived by his wife Patty, children Gary, Bobbi, Wes, Sara, Donna, Jessica, and Christopher, 18 grandchildren, two aunts and a brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and uncles Jay and Ted.

Services for Dennis will take place on Friday, October 26th at the Wolverine Free Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 11am with the funeral at 1pm. Pastor Steve Evoy will officiate.
