Obituary for Dennis Leroy West Dennis Leroy West, 69, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Formerly of Waterbury, CT, he has been a Bonita Springs resident for the last two years. He was born June 14, 1949 in Waterbury, the son of the late Donald D. and Vivian M. (née Noren) West.

Dennis attended John F. Kennedy High School and The University of New Haven. He was a General Foreman with Ducci Electrical Contractors for over 40 years. He was a former member of the Pequabuck Golf Club and member of Vasari Country Club.

Dennis was an avid golfer, who enjoyed gardening and most importantly being with his family. He had the gift of generosity and loved to offer all that he could to anyone who needed it. He will be sorely missed by all that he touched.

Mr. West is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Barbara Ann (née Perusko) West; his loving children, Erika (Diana Mazzaglia) West of Amesbury, MA, Bryan West of Brooklyn, NY, Rebecca West of Gorham, ME, and Jessica (Christopher) Carreira of Shelton, CT; his brother, Donald (Janice) West of Lewes, DE and his sister, Diana (James) McGrath of Waterbury, CT; and five cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Charlie, Benjamin, Joshua, and Samuel and several nieces and a nephew. He also leaves his faithful pet, Molly. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, www. curemeso.org. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home – Family Owned Since 1978.
