Obituary for William Joseph Nagy MD William Joseph Nagy, D.O., 86 of Bonita Springs, FL passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Naples, FL. Formerly of Worthington, OH he had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2000. William was born November 10, 1931 in Youngstown, OH the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Bender) Nagy.

Dr. Nagy was a United States Army Veteran, Missile Battalion. He was a graduate of Youngstown State University and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the University of Chicago. Dr. Nagy was an Internal Medicine Specialist at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH, retiring in 1999.

Together with his wife, they shared a love for Grand Cayman and had a home on Seven Mile Beach. William was an avid golfer who also enjoyed scuba diving, tutoring children and attending Lamb of God Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 51 years, Ruth Carlson Nagy who passed away May 23, 2010.

Survivors include his loving children, William C. (Yesenia) Nagy of Edgewood, KY, David Allen (Abby) Nagy of Portland, OR and Barbara Lynn (Michael) Schini of Naples, FL; and grandchildren, Sydney, Alexandria, Griffin, Mariana and Andy. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date and will be announced. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home.
