Dennis R. Staley, 68, of Milan, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident in Mercer County. Services for Dennis will be 10 am, Friday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted by the Milan American Legion Post No. 569. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or to the Diabetes Association.

Dennis was born on February 22, 1950 in Moline, a son of Raymond and Violet Crow Staley. Dennis retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of sergeant in 1993. He enjoyed gardening, computers and photography.

Survivors include his siblings, Peggy (Keith) Reddig, Colona, Walter Allen Staley, Rock Island and Roger Staley, Coyne Center; and several nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
