Obituary for Dewey Truett Dyer Murchison – Graveside Services for Dewey Dyer, 101, of Murchison are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Liberty Cemetery in Martin’s Mill with Bro. Scott Gizzle officiating. Dewey Dyer passed away on November 15, 2018 in Murchison, Texas.

Dewey Truett Dyer was born July 13, 1917 in Van Zandt County, Texas the son of Jesse Dyer and Trudy Edwards Dyer. He attended Life Bridge Church in Tyler. He was an avid outdoors man who loved gardening, farming and hunting.

He also enjoyed raising hunting dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Elan Dyer and John Willy Dyer; two sisters, Lila Mae Abney and Esteen Pirtle. Dewey is survived by his wife Sarah Dyer of Murchison; three daughters, Ginger Tavenner of Murchison, Marie Duvall of Murchison, Susan Ayars of Athens and one son, Luke Ayars of Chandler.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Lupus Foundation of America, Sarcoma Foundation of America, Alzheimer’s Foundation and/ or the American Diabetes Association.
