Diana Jean Stevens, age 69, of Van Wert, passed away at 12:37 AM Monday, September 24, 2018 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. She was born November 21, 1948, in Van Wert, to the late L. Marie (Pearson) and Charles Joseph Watson. Diana worked as a nurse’s aide at Vancrest before working at Two Way in Rockford.

She went on to retire from Parker Hannifine in New Haven, IN. A quiet and reserved woman, Diana enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden before falling ill. She is survived by her loving children, Shelly (Vincent) Robertson of Indianapolis, IN; Roy Burk of Wilshire; Jeremy (Angel) Stevens of Van Wert; sisters: Mary (Allen) Zerby of Rossville, IN; Sharon Blythe of Van Wert; grandchildren: Addysen, Emersyn, Carter, Johnathan, Tabitha, Ashley, Jennifer and Brady; 11 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. Stevens, and brother, Kenny Watson. Funeral service will be at 11AM Friday, September 28, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Bill Watson presiding.

Interment will follow in Ridge Cemetery in Middle Point. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Preferred Memorials are to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
