Diane J. Cariola, 76 of Oakwood, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at home, surrounded by family and friends. Born Wednesday, November 25, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Richard Lashinger and the late Anne McDonough Lashinger. Diane, a medical assistant and receptionist, was also devoted to animals and was a proud donator to the ASPCA.

Known by her family as Mrs Fix it, Diane could be always be found with her trusty hammer in hand, adjusting or correcting something around the house. Diane loved oldies music and enjoyed her downtime watching Investigative Discovery Television, , but her most cherished time was spent with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Cariola who passed away in 2017.

Loving mother of Richard Kubiak and Dawn Delorme. Dear mother in law of Joseph Delorme. Adored sister of Albert Lashinger.

Devoted grandmother of Richard A. Kubiak and Joseph Dean Delorme. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:15 AM on Monday at St Charles Church located at 200 Penn Ave Staten Island, New York 10306. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
