Obituary for Diane Isola Diane Marie Isola, 79, a resident of Calumet passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Omega House in Houghton. She was born on July 30, 1938 in Detroit, to William and Sylvia (Kemppainen) Allen. She attended the local schools and graduated with the Class of 1957.

Diane worked at restaurants during her life. She was a loving mother and wife. She was a great friend.

She also was a good Christian woman. She enjoyed crocheting, making many beautiful afghans for her family and friends. Diane had a big heart, and cared for any and everything!

She loved to help out the neighborhood animals, often taking them in and helping them out until they were healed. On July 19, 1959, she married George Isola in Calumet. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Sylvia, her husband, George, and her sister, Patty.

She is survived by: Her sons: George (Ruth) Isola of Ishpeming Darrell Isola of Washington Her daughters: Jana Isola of Calumet Julie Isola of Laurium 5 grandchildren: Matthew, Nathan, Samantha, John and Alex 5 great grandchildren: Darleen, John, Aubree, Lorna, and William Her sister: Arlene Gruber of Hancock And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet with Pastor Glenn Schwanke to officiate. Friends may call at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be directed to the Omega House, 2211 Maureen Lane, Houghton, Michigan 49931, or the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 47745 Mill Road, Houghton, Michigan 49931.
