Obituary for Jenny Mukka (Cardinal) September 17, 2018 Calumet Jenny Mukka, 95, a resident of the Lighthouse of Hancock passed away on Monday September 17, 2018. She was born on June 8, 1923 in Gay a daughter of the late Damien and Mary Louise (Ricard) Cardinal. She attended the Gay School.
Jenny moved to Detroit after school and then returning to live in Florida Location for many years and in 1998 moved to Park Ave. Apartments in Calumet. On October 24, 1953 she was united in marriage to Edwin Mukka and he preceded her in death in March of 1983.
She enjoyed her once a month trips to the Casino in Baraga. Preceding her in death was 5 sisters: Alice, Genevieve, Lena, Lucille and Eleanore 3 brothers: Eugene, Archie and Thomas. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet with Deacon Art Stancher to officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM Thursday morning. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
