Dillard’s Obituary Dillard H. Jackson of Hagerstown, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was 84 years of age. He was born in Blythe, California on October 1, 1934.

Dillard was a veteran who served in the US Army during 1955-1958, where he also earned All Army Boxing Champ. He then became a professional boxer for several years. Upon leaving the army, Dillard moved to Los Angeles California and became a Senior Gardener for the city.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eva Jackson; his mother, Vassie Lee Jackson; his daughters, Traci L. Holiwell and Karyn D. Tolson, along with his two son-in laws, Edwin L. Holiwell and Larry D. Tolson, Sr.; two sisters, Barbara Cruise and Marie Jackson; one brother, Andre Jackson; fourteen grandchildren, Lawrence Tolson, Perry Tolson, Larry Tolson, Jr., Lance Tolson, LaTise Williams, LaKita Tolson (deceased), Lisa Hardley, LaShawn Taylor, Lyric Tolson, Leah Tolson, LaRon Tolson, Mykayla Holiwell, Kamren Holiwell, and Kaylee Tolson; eight great-grandchildren, Khamari Tolson, London Lyons, Logan Lyons, Perry Jones, Tracy Edwards, MacKenzie Tolson, Brayden Tolson and Landon Tolson and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. There are no words to explain how greatly he will be missed by his family and friends. Services will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at New Joy Seventh-Day Adventist Church 319 W. Howard Street, Hagerstown MD.

21740. Dillard will have a Memorial Service at Southside Seventh-Day Church 1330 3rd St. Bakersfield, CA. 93304 on Sunday February 10, 2019 at 11:00am.

A Graveside service will be held on February 11, 2019 at 12:00 noon at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave, Inglewood, CA 90301.
