Dixie Lee Alberta Krouse Kirk, 78, Home, died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. The daughter of Leroy and Florence (Stern) Krouse, she was born January 26, 1941 in Waterman, PA. Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who was devoted to her family.

She enjoyed making cookies for various events and baby sat many of the neighborhood children. Dixie was known to her friends and neighbors as “Grandma Dixie” Surviving are her children, Diane (Edward) Peterson, Home, Denise (Daniel) Brudnock, Home, David (Michele) Kirk, Marion Center, Dixie (Russell) McClure, Marion Center, grandchildren, Emily, Heidi, Hannah,, Dustin, Megan, Jacqueline, Jimmy, Sasha, Niki, Jacob, Katie, Travis, Madison, Levi, Kassie, Garrett Amber, and Laci; great grandchildren, Alec, Ellie, Grace, Dawson, Brody, Kamden, Kylee, and Mila; a sister, Sandy (Thomas) Nanni, Home; brother, Robert Krouse, Tionesta, PA; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Linda, Jenny, Taylor and Mary. Preceding Dixie in death were her parents; husband of 28 years, David Kirk; a grandchild, Eddie Peterson, sisters, Diane and Darlene.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted Friday morning in the Lefdahl Chapel, 11 am with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.

Interment will be held at 950 DeHaven Road, Home.
