Dixie Lea Logan, 76 HARTFORD CITY – Dixie Lea Logan, 76, passed away at 2:52 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dunkirk on February 24, 1942 to Carroll “Carl” John Sones and J. Joan (Stone) Sones. Both of her parents preceded her in death.

Dixie graduated from Hartford City High School in 1960 and attended Business College in Minneapolis. She married Charles “Chuck” R. Logan on August 2, 1975 in Hartford City. Dixie retired… Read More » from Blackford County Hospital where she worked in the Dietary Department.

She was a life member of the Hartford City AMVETS Auxiliary. She was the former owner and operator of Nip & Sip in Hartford City. She loved to cook and was an avid reader and CUBS fan.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Charles “Chuck” R. Logan of Hartford City; children, Michael A. (wife, Lisa) Clark of Imperial, MO, Jason L. (wife, Emily) Logan of Grand Haven, MI, Melissa A. (husband, Todd) Hiday of New Castle and Patrick A. (wife, Heidi) Clark of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Andrew Hiday, Shannon Hiday, Haley Clark, Shelby Clark,, Presley Clark, Zane Clark and Jacob Logan; brother, Don L. (wife, Connie) Sones of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Pastor Matthew Masko officiating.

Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
