Obituary for Dixie Lee Peterson Peterson, Dixie Lee, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born July 12, 1924, in Kansas City, Missouri to Dixie Adolph and Alice Rezilda (nee Leonard) Moore and entered into rest Friday, July 20, 2018, at her residence at the age of 94 years and 9 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband Roy Reed Peterson, She is survived by, Four (4) children, Paul D. Peterson, of Cocoa, FL, Karen M. (Steven Thompson) Peterson, of Crescent City, CA, Richard R. Peterson, of High Ridge, MO, and Susan P. Hawkins, of Cedar Hill, MO, Eight (8) grandchildren, Dea (Ryan) Blair, Andrea Peterson, Michael DiVita, Michael R. Peterson, James G. (Fulvia Oddo) Peterson, Robert. L. (Lynn Fingerhut) Hawkins, Benjamin R. Hawkins, and Calvin A. Richins, Seven (7) Great Grandchildren, Henry Hawkins, Clayton Hawkins, Desiree LeBeau, Robert Clingman, Stephen Clingman, Ellie Rose Peterson, and Liam Roy Peterson, And many friends, Dixie studied philosophy and botany at the University of Chicago.

She enjoyed nature, camping, reading, quilting, and a pre-dinner glass of wine. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
