Dixie Ann Dyson, 74, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018, surrounded by family at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital. Dixie was born January 12, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee, but grew up in the Los Angeles, California area where she graduated from George Washington High School and worked in accounting. She liked to read, knit, garden, and spend time talking with her dear friends and family in California.

She was a very outgoing person and made friends with everyone she met. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Lairmore (Michael Burec, Jr.), Jefferson City, MO; three sons, William (Lorna) Moe, Carson, CA; Robert (Evelyn) Moe, Sacramento, CA; and Eric (Desi) Dyson, Long Beach, CA; a sister, Diane (Carl) Wilkens, Orange, CA; and three grandchildren, Arran Burec (five years old), Maya Dyson (2 years old), and Max Dyson (2 weeks old). Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Delbert and Mildred Birdie (Herweck) Groom; and an older sister, Donna Albano.
