Obituary for Dolores Ann (Galonska) Retting Our beloved aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018. She was 95 old. Dolores Ann Galonska was born on July 3, 1922 in Saginaw to the late Walter and Anna (Zielinski) Galonska.

She attended St. Rita School and graduated from St. Joseph High School. She met the love of her life and future husband, Henry F. Retting at Lufkin Rule Company, where they both had worked. Dolores and Henry were married on February 10, 1945 and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage until his passing on May 5, 2013.

Dolores was a faithful member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish – St. Helen Catholic Church. She was also employed by Sears for 26 years and is a member of the Sears Retiree Group. Dolores enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, and summers at the cottage on Au Sable Lake in Lupton, Michigan.

Dolores is survived by her two nieces, Kathy (Mike) Gembarowski and Joanne Brogan; special friends, Tom (Judy) Howe and Helen Davy; cousin, Gladys Schotts; and many more nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Dolores was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel (Mary) Galonska and two sisters, Elaine (Frank) Brogan and JoAnn (Dan) Kosielski. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.

Ronald F. Wagner will officiate. Honoring Dolores’ wishes, cremation has taken place and private burial of cremated remains to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 10:00 until the time of service.
