Domenick “Benny” Langworth, 101, a lifelong resident of Port Chester died May 3, 2018. He was born July 30, 1916 in Port Chester to the late Joseph and Katherine Desio Langworth. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1936.

Benny was married June 21, 1941 to Edith Lucarelli. He was dispatcher for Royal Petroleum Corp. in Port Chester for 33 years.

He also worked for many years at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club as a locker man. The club has had a yearly tournament in his name “The Benny”. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church.

Benny was an avid golfer and was a past Village of Port Chester Champ. and was Lakeover Club Champ in 1975. He is survived by his wife Edith Langworth of Port Chester, son Robert Langworth and his wife Fran of Rye Brook, NY.

, and daughter Andrea Ianello of Port Chester, NY. , grandchildren Tara Berlingo and husband Richard, Kristin Szygiel and husband Joseph, great grandchildren Deanna Berlingo, Robert Roland Berlingo, Brooke Szygiel and Joseph Szygiel, Jr He was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Jim, Charles, Harry, Mitch and Lou Langworth and sister Daisy Pietro.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10AM on Friday May 18, 2018 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital Memphis, TN.
