Don passed away April 12, 2018 at the age of 76. He was a lifelong Toledo resident until the last couple of years when he was in a care facility in Florence. He was the third child born to Chester and Lola (Hawkins) Burch on September 23, 1941.

Don attended schools in Toledo. After high school he held a few jobs including Morse Brothers, and for eighteen years until his retirement he worked at Westgate Lanes. Don was a member of the Toledo Elks, Toledo Eagles and the Toledo Boomer Boosters.

He loved watching the Portland Trail Blazers, Settle Seahawks, and listening to the Toledo Boomers and Newport Cubs on the radio. In his younger years he dealt blackjack at the Toledo Elks, Eagles and Timbers. Something he loved doing.

He was an avid bowler and it took him to places for National Tournaments. He visited Washington DC, Niagra Falls and Wichita Kansas to name a few. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Lola Burch; brother in law Jackie Miller; and niece Sherry Miller.

He is survived by his sisters: Dorla Miller of Toledo and Patricia Peasley of Glenrock WY; Kenny (Joann) Wood of Newport (Kenny and Don were cousins, but always more like brothers); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be June 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery in Newport.
