Lynn was born April 20, 1950 in Waukegan, IL to her parents Betty Beyer and Orville Kuberski. She grew up in El Paso, TX where she attended high school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education at UTEP in 1971. Lynn also met her loving husband, Stan Bishop, who was in the army there and stationed at Fort Bliss.

Lynn and her husband married December 21, 1971. They moved back to where he grew up on the Oregon Coast in 1985. Lynn was a wonderful and loving mother to her two children, Ken and Jennifer Bishop.

In addition, she was an outstanding teacher and taught 3rd grade for many years at Toledo Elementary School. She touched many families lives and loved integrating art and creativity into the classroom. Lynn was also an accomplished artist.

Her art was as vibrant as her personality. She always loved a new challenge and over the years worked with stained glass, fused glass, painting, clay, jewelry, printmaking, multimedia art, and anything else she could get her hands on. After retiring from teaching, art became her full time passion.

She was a member of the Toledo Art Guild and was active in classes and shows at the Visual Arts Center. After resiliently persevering many years with cancer, she died June 20, 2018 at the Newport Samaritan Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Betty and her father in law Garnet Bishop.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Stan and her children Ken and Jennifer as well as siblings residing in Colorado, Nina Phillips, Richard Kuberski and mother-in-law Hazel Bishop of Salem, OR. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Newport Visual Arts Center Sunday July 29th from 1-4pm. Lynn, you are reflected everywhere we see the beauty of nature.

The foxgloves are your heart, the clouds your breath and the rolling hills your form. Your soul is with us.
