Don R Westmoreland , July 04, 1940 — July 08, 2018

Don R. Westmoreland, age 78, of Bloomburg, Texas went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 8, 2018. Don was born July 4, 1940 in Bloomburg, Texas to Thomas and Glada Westmoreland. He was retired from Day and Zimmerman where he was a computer operator as well as being retired from the Bloomburg Water Cooperation as the Secretary for 28 years.

Don was also one of the founding volunteers with the Bloomburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Westmoreland; and a grandson, Trey Sutton.

He is survived by his daughter, Rene Westmoreland Schmidt of Redwater, Texas; two sons, Kevin Westmoreland and wife Vicki of Redwater, Texas, Donnie Westmoreland and wife Kelli of Keithville, Louisiana; his brother, Wayland Westmoreland and wife Linda of Redwater, Texas six grandchildren, Cody Schmidt, Casey Schmidt, Corey Sutton, Nathan Westmoreland, Noah Westmoreland, Jacob Westmoreland; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Gary Terry officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, July 13, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery. Those wishing to memorialize Don may make contributions to: To Reach Every Youth (T.R.E.Y.
