Zimmerman, 81, of 4791 Glen Hazel Road, Wilcox, died Thursday morning (Jan. 3, 2019) at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, following a lengthy illness. Born Feb.

20, 1937, in Wilcox, he is a son of Michael and Mary Fiscus Zimmerman. On May 2, 1959, in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Mary Pavlock, who survives. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army from the Korean War era, having served overseas as an SP3 with Co. F 2nd Armored Battalion out of Fort George Meade, Md.

Surviving in addition to his wife at home are five children, Steven F. (Mary) Zimmerman of Glen Hazel, Stanley Zimmerman at home, Susan Solorio of Wilcox, Scott (Amy) Zimmerman of Glen Hazel and Stacy (Robert) Bauer of St. Marys; 10 grandchildren, Brandee, Steven and Trevor Zimmerman, Erica, Elena and Michael Solorio, Jake and Haylee Zimmerman and Logan and Lucas Bauer; four siblings, Jane Muroski of Parlin, N.J., Robert (Mary Lou) Zimmerman of Greensburg, Sandra Myers of Wilcox and Margaret “Kay” (Wally) Lubash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Hilda Zimmerman; brothers: William “Tooley” and Charles “Chucky” Zimmerman; and sisters, Kathleen Williams and Beverly Rhodes. There will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Rasselas and will be private. Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
