Albert J. “Bert” Allegretto August 26, 1936 – July 27, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Albert J. “Bert” Allegretto, 82, of 6670 Rasselas Road, Wilcox, died Friday evening, July 27, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Albert was born April 26, 1936 in Buffalo, New York, a son of Louis and Alma Markert Allegretto, he resided in the Rasselas/Wilcox area all his life and graduated from Wilcox High School in 1954. He had been a member of Holy Cross Church, and now Holy Rosary Church.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. Albert was a Vietnam Era Army Veteran, serving overseas as a Specialist 4 with the Army Transportation Corps. He was employed by Keystone Carbon Co. for 15 years retiring in 1998.

He had also worked at Stackpole Carbon Co. in Johnsonburg and St. Marys and IPM in Ridgway. Albert is survived by one brother, Eugene F. Allegretto and his wife, Norma, of Bradford. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Edward, Raymond, Theodore, Milton and Louis Allegretto; and sisters: Carmella Sample, Julianne Allagretto, Beatrice Adkins and Marie Allegretto. A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert J. Allegretto will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Rev. David J. Wilson, Pastor officiating.

Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Rasselas. Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg Tuesday morning from 8:45 a.m. until Mass time at 10 a.m. Miltary honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg Servicemen’s Detail.
