They married in 1950. They raised four children and enjoyed 56 years together until her death in 2006. Donald served his country in the US Air Force where he was in charge of fighter aircraft worthiness.

He received a degree in accounting from the University of Utah. Don had a long and successful career as a CPA. He was made a partner at Ernst and Young.

At The height of his career, he was the managing partner of the Far Eastern division for Ernst & Young and resided for five years in Tokyo Japan. He was hard-working and respected by all. Don and Shirley were a handsome couple who loved and supported each other and their children during their 56 years of marriage.

They resided in New Mexico, Washington State, Utah, Japan and California. After Don retired, they became snowbirds splitting their time between his beloved and Rancho Mirage, CA and Holladay, UT. Donna enjoyed many years of health playing golf and tennis in the desert and his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren in Utah.

After Shirley’s death, Don married La Rue Garner. They continue to spend winters in Rancho Mirage, CA and summers in Holladay, UT. During their 11 years together, Don became close to La Rue’s three daughters.

Don got his wish and passed quickly into the loving arms of his Father, Mother, wife Shirley, Sister Billy Jo Foote (Mark) and Son Harold Hadley (Heidi). He is survived by his daughters Cindy Wood, Kathie Neff (Paul) and Leisa Groscost (Gary).
