Obituary for Shirley Lou Turner Dodson Shirley Lou Turner Dodson 1930 – 2018 Our precious wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Shirley Dodson, age 87, passed away at home surrounded by loving family on April 16, 2018. Shirley endured her physical ailments with dignity and was finally freed from the effects of the multiple strokes that left her bed ridden for years. Born to Rone and Estelle Turner, she grew up in Heber City, Utah.

After her high school graduation, the family moved to Santa Ana, California. She graduated with honors from BYU then married the love of her life, Neil Dodson in the L.D.S. Los Angeles Temple. They spent 61 devoted and beautiful years together, raising 5 children: Mark (Shirley), Denise (Scott) Kunkel, Lyle (Samantha), Clark (Elisa) and Blake (Kimberly).

Survived by her husband Neil Dodson, children, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Shirley loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and walked in Our Saviors path. She always saw the good in everyone and never criticized.

Her beautiful smile, long stories, grammar correction and giggles will be missed. Special thanks are offered for the loving hospice care provided by Marina, Mary, and many others from Community Nursing Services. We are forever grateful for the dedicated service from our faithful neighbor Matt for his daily help.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 6-8pm at the LDS 20th Ward (2nd Avenue and G Street in Salt Lake City, UT). A graveside dedication service will be at the Heber City Cemetery at 12:00 Noon, Friday, April 27, 2018.
