Obituary for Evelyn Lorraine Atkinson Evelyn Lorraine Atkinson (Payzant) Our beloved Wife, Mother Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 16, 2018. She was born January 24, 1935 to Rueben Payzant and Desta Shepherd. She married John (Jack) Atkinson on June 24, 1954.

They are the parents of two sons: Duane Atkinson (Tammie); Darin Atkinson (Kristi) and two daughters: Debbie Jorgenson; Diane Hadsell (Phil). Evelyn has 11 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents and many loved ones including a great-grandson.

Evelyn has always been a joy and strength to her family and will be greatly missed. Evelyn and Jack had a great love for 58 years and are now reunited! Evelyn has worked endless hours in her beautiful yard!

Her Passion was gardening. She loved Beautiful Flowers she would plant around her yard. Her yard has been featured in the Taylorsville Journal in Past Years!

! She was most definitely a green Thumb! Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon.

At the Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 East 4580 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84117. We’d like to Thank Symbii Home Health for their service. Also we’d like to give a Special Thanks to Inspiration for their comforting Hospice Services whom assisted her daughter-in-law Kristi Atkinson with Evelyn’s needs!
