Arva Dean Ellett Squire, 82, of Orem, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 30, 2018, in her home after battling cancer. She was born October 11, 1935 in Bicknell, Utah, to Freeman and Eva Ann Baker Ellett. She married her sweetheart, Scott O. Squire on June 10, 1961, in the Manti LDS Temple.

Arva Dean, “Deanie”, was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in various callings, but her favorite was her service as a Stake Missionary. Arva Dean worked at ZCMI for 16 years, she was promoted to manager because of her excellent retail and service abilities.

She enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She spent 10 years, along with her sisters, taking care of her parents. “Deanie” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend.

She was known for her pleasant positive attitude and was loving and kind to everyone. Arva Dean is survived by her husband, Scott O. Squire, daughter, Denise (Jeff) Dredge, and four sons, Scott Odell (Lisa) Squire, Robert Squire, John Squire, and Thomas (Rachel) Squire; 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 2nd, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 4th Ward LDS Chapel located at 440 E. 800 S. in Orem, Utah.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday just prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial and Graveside service will be at the Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent at www.
