Obituary for Bonnie Jo Crockett Bonnie Jo Grigsby Ward Crockett, 84, our beloved, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Orem, Utah on May 22, 2018 surrounded by family. Bonnie was born to Lewis David Ward and Mary Marguerite Walker on March 20, 1934 in Greenbrier, West Virginia. She grew up in West Virginia on Orient Hill, of which her grandpa Walker owned several acres.
She had many wonderful memories of living next to aunts, uncles, and cousins. She met her beloved husband, Richard Lewis Crockett in 1955 and later married on August 26 1956 in Yuma Arizona. Bonnie, Richard, Kathleen and Nick were sealed for time and all eternity in the Laie, Hawaii temple on December 17, 1966.
Some of her jobs included waitressing, being a foster mother to many children, telephone operator in Washington DC and San Diego, and Nurses Aid. Her beloved role though, was that of wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family and they in turn loved her.
She served faithfully in many auxiliaries in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. She loved her mission with her sweetheart, teaching the people of Vancouver, British Columbia. Throughout her life, she shared her time, love, and res to bless others and made friends wherever she and Richard went.
She will be remembered for how she loved others by serving and socializing with them and her happy disposition. She is survived by her sister, Louvertia Ward Warner of Maryland, James Luther Taylor (half brother) of Missouri, Pauline Marie Taylor (half sister) of West Virginia, her daughter, Kathleen Marie Crockett Raney, son-in-law James Raney, her son, Nick Crockett, daughter-in-law Andrea Godbold Crockett, and grandchildren Chris and Chelle Raney, Kyle Raney, Collin and Makelle Raney, Katelyn Raney, Joshua and April Crockett, Courtney and Jake Tipton, Jordan Crockett, Nicholas Crockett, Jacob and Kaitlyn Crockett, Bradley Crockett, and great grandchildren Sienna, Coen, Ellory, Ryker Raney and Cole Crockett She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Crockett, mother and father, Lewis and Marguerite Ward, Loutecia Ward Brackman, Roswald Ward, Bessie Jean Ward Daff, Diane Taylor (half sister), Rodger Ward, and Shirley Richard Ward. Funeral services will be held June 4, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ located at 545 South 800 East, Orem UT at 11am with a viewing the same day and location from 9:30-10:45am in the Relief Society room.
Interment will be at the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery Gardens (4800 East lawn Dr, Provo).
