Donald Clark Long, 65, of Sonoraville, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on February 17, 1953, son of the late Walter Clark and Lorraine Jones Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Adams.

Donald was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. He retired from the carpet industry, and had been a telephone repair man, and a CNA. He enjoyed NASCAR, quail hunting, and raising Dachshund puppies.

Donald was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include his children, Jeffery Long and his wife Miranda of Calhoun, Jeremy Long and his wife Lisa of Sonoraville, Cindy Long and her husband David Johnson of Anderson, Indiana, Tony Vann of Muncie, Indiana, and Heather Birdyshaw of Cartersville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pat Conquest of Murfreesboro, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
