Obituary for Donald E. Dye Donald E. Dye, 90, of Beloit, WI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 25, 2018 surrounded by his family in his home. He was born on August 10, 1927 in Hartford, MO, the son of Joe and Agnes (Bradshaw) Dye. Donald married Phyllis Halley on February 1, 1951 in Beloit, WI, where they went on to raise their family.

He was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army as a Corporal. Donald retired from Beloit Corporation in 1978. He was a member of Central Christian.

He and Phyllis lead Bible Study in their home. Don enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, riding his cub cadet and back patio conversations with family and friends. Later in life, he and Phyllis loved traveling to visit family across the country, including trips to Missouri, Florida, Idaho and Montana.

Don enjoyed square dancing, attending Janesville Parker football games and serving as the family mechanic. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Phyllis; children, Donna Dykes of Cincinnati, IA, Linda (James) Boehm of Racine, WI, Joe (Janis) Dye of Janesville, WI, and Pam Dye of Middleton, WI; grandchildren, Jamie (Paul) Lindemann, Brian (Kate) Boehm, Elizabeth (Ross) Nielsen, Jennifer (Ben) Dye, Jeff (Kacie) Dye, and Shannon Kapinski; great grandchildren, Ethan, Eli, Joey and Jillian Lindemann, Autumn, Levi, and Willow Boehm, Charlize and Roman Nielsen, and Dathan, Avery and Decker Dye; brother-in-law, Eugene Ray Halley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Scott Dykes; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Dole, Virginia Adkins, and Alice Sterling; brothers-in-law, Lawrence and James Halley.

The family would like to make a special note of gratitude to Don’s personal caretaker Tina and eternal gratitude to Dr. Gold, Sue and Jamie for their care and support. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, with Pastor David Meding officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery with military honors accorded by the V.F.W. Mead-Allen Post #2306.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be given in his name to the American Heart Association or Central Christian Church. Upcoming Events Visitation 2018 JUN 3.
