Donald E. Wine, 86, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center. Born October 2, 1931 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Ralph A. and Estella M. (Fuhrman) Wine. Donald was the loving husband of Nancy A. (Bowman) Wine with whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Mr. Wine was a 1949 graduate of Eichelberger High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly in the Korean Conflict. Donald retired with over 40 years of service as the general manager of the Fiberglass department at McClarin Plastics, Inc

Mr. Wine was a member of Bible Fellowship Church of Adams County, the Shiloh American Legion, and the Metropolitan Club of North America. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, going to car shows, playing with his grand dogs Gabby, Zin, and his late dog Fluffy, and especially the family vacations to the beaches of North Carolina. In addition to his loving wife Nancy, Donald is survived by his children, David A. Wine of Lake Meade, PA, and Holly A. Wine of Abbottstown, PA, 2 granddaughters, Hayley A. Wine and Emma N. Wine, and a sister, Darlene Schultz-Garrett of Hanover, PA.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn S. Wine and Mark L. Wine, and two sisters, Esther M. Gigous and Janet M. Pottorff. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Donald will be held 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Cross Keys Fellowship, 785 Berlin Rd, New Oxford, PA, with Rev. John Hanner officiating.

A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 or the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute, 500 HMC Crescent Road, North Lobby, Hershey, PA 17033.
