Obituary for Donald L. Mitchell Mr. Donald L. Mitchell, 83, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born in 1936 to the late William and Edith (Kaufman) Mitchell Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday 14th 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Spraytown Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Monday after 9 am until time of service.

On September 29, 1962 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky, he married Emmerine “Renee” Royalty; she preceded him in death on February 14, 2014. Don was a great man who stood up for what he believed. He always provided for his family as he worked as a truck driver, carpenter, and big machinery operator and could do any task in front of him.

He was a simple man, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising beagle dogs, mowing grass and having fun with family and friends. He had great laugh and a strong hand shake. He is survived by his children: Carol (Denny) Ault, Ron (Gail) Miller, Darrell (Debbie) Burnside, Johnny (Sheba) Graham, Tony (Teresa) Beatty, Bryan Mitchell, and Bill (Patricia) Utsler, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emmerine Mitchell; brothers; Virgil, Allen, Robert, and Harold Mitchell, sister; Margaret Sullivan.
