Strange Strange, Donald L., of Hillsboro, Missouri was born July 14, 1933 in Eldon, Missouri, to Jessie and Viola (nee Ledbetter) Strange and entered into rest Monday, October 1, 2018 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 18 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Edward O’keene, one granddaughter, Jessica Darner, and one brother, Leon Strange. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Strange, Four (4) Children, Donald Lynn (Barbara) Strange, Rob (Elizabeth) Darner, Christine Maloney, and Jesse (Andrea) Strange, Nine (9) Grandchildren, Amy Kent, Stephanie Strange, Lindsay Hermann, Emily Graus, Molly Darner, Brandon Maloney, Alex O’Keene, Cole Strange and Lucas Strange, Eight (8) Great Grandchildren, Faithlyn Young, Layla Dawson, Landon Kent, Olivia Phillips, Ava Darner, Ava Marie Maloney, Edward Rhett O’Keene, and Ella O’Keene, Two (2) Siblings, Truman Strange and Grace Kallenbach and many other family and friends.
Donald enjoyed many activities include working, yard work, cutting wood, watching sports and playing pool. He especially loved spending time with his Grandchildren. Donald was a past-exalted ruler at the high ridge elks lodge and a member of the Desoto elks lodge.
Donald was a former president of the men’s auxiliary VFW in Cedar Hill. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri.
Service Friday, October 5, 2018 2:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
