Donald Ray Sloan, age 64, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his home with his wife by his side. Don was born September 15, 1954, to the late Johnnie and Peggy (Smith) Sloan, in Paducah, Kentucky. Don retired from Mead Johnson in 2016 after 38 years of dedicated service.

He was a member of Blue Grass Church. Don was an avid Indianapolis Colts and IU Basketball fan. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, playing cards, collecting antiques, and especially family events.

Don will be so greatly missed. Don was a very devoted family man. Don is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Feller) Sloan; daughters, Sandra (Jeremy) McFarling, Kacey (Jason) Sloan, Kara (Nathan) Andrew, and Kaylan (Matthew) Parson; his three stepchildren, are Kayla (Ken) Wilder, Lindsay Barron, and Lee Barron; siblings, John (Cindy) Sloan, Brian (Irma) Sloan, Sharon (Bret) Schutz, and Dionne Sloan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He adored all seven of his kids and his three grandchildren, Roman Stone, Brayden McFarling, and Makenzie Andrew. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Blue Grass United Methodist Church, 14240 Petersburg Rd. , Evansville, IN 47725 with Pastor Doug Heiman officiating.

Burial will follow at Blue Grass Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Grass Church Children/Youth Ministries Program.
