Donald Warren Bowman, Sr., 81, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at his home. He was born February 25, 1937, in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Clyde A. and Willie Deaver Bowman. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine McPeak Bowman, step-mother, Hallie Bowman; and grandson, Daniel Fisher.

He worked for Fieldcrest Mills for 23 years, and Henry County Public School System for 16 years. Donald is survived by two daughters, Vickie Bowman of Bassett, and Rhonda B. Walker of Martinsville; son, Donald W. Bowman Jr. of Bassett; two sisters, Charlotte Garnett of Michigan and Donna K. Cox of West Virginia; brother Charles W. Bowman of Tennessee; step-brother, Jennings Martin of West Virginia; and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 3:00 PM at One Accord Baptist Church, with Rev.

Phillip Woods officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be Monday, January 28, at 1:00 PM at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, West Virginia.
