Obituary for Westley “Rickey” Manns Westley “Rickey” Manns, 66, of Collinsville, passed away, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home. He was born July 14, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late William Cousin and Gladys Manns. At the tender age of three Rickey and his mom moved back to Bassett, Virginia, where he was reared by his mother and stepfather, Louis (L.

C.) Manns. Rickey was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness in July, 2008. He enjoyed all types of music and played in several bands, and loved all the bells and whistles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Manshae’ Manns and Bernard Cousin. Mr. Manns is survived by his wife, Lessie Wray Manns; daughter, Sharicka Tyrell Manns; son, Christopher Devone Thomas (Sophia); sisters Audrey Cousin, and Jacquetta Manns; brother, Daris Manns (Mary); grandchildren, Christopher (C.J.), Christian, and Jendah; step-father, L. C. Manns; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friend, Domino. Special thanks to caregiver, Robert “Stump” Galloway, who was always there and made time for Rickey with dedicated care.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The family will receive friends at 12:30 P. M. prior to the memorial service. Burial will be private.
