Donald Wyatt, born July 25, 1939 in Indianapolis, passed away after a long illness on September 25, 2018. He is preceded in death by his sister Sharon Wyatt; Mother Ruth Wyatt and father Forest Wyatt. His surviving family include his wife Rhonda Wyatt; Daughter Denise Wyatt; Son Donald Wyatt II; Step-son Jason Tinker; grandson Casey Wyatt; his sister Linda Barnett and brother David Wyatt.

Don served in the regular U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sargent and retired in 1969 after a tour of duty in Vietnam under Shadow Company. He was the owner and manager of the Madison Municipal Airport in Madison, IN during the 1970’s and early 1980’s where he helped hundreds of people receive their private pilot’s license, did aircraft sales, freight service and aircraft maintenance.

He later accepted a tenure track faculty position at Vincennes University teaching Aviation Maintenance. He worked 16 years as an instructor and department chair. One of his greatest joys was teaching students that have accepted maintenance positions around the world.

Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Funeral Homes in Terre Haute, IN on Friday, September 28, 2018 with visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM followed by a short service at 7:00 PM.
