Obituary for Donna J. Doane Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call you took the hand God offered you and quietly left us all…. . Our hearts were broken on Saturday, November 3, 2018 when our loving wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend Donna J. (Allis) Doane passed away.

Donna was born on June 7, 1940 in Orwell Township, Pa a daughter of the late Leon and Maisie (Lent) Allis. Donna was employed by the Dundee Central Schools and the Morton Salt Company as a Custodian. She retired from the Dandy Mini Market in Lockwood.

Donna enjoyed playing BINGO, cards, visiting Tioga Downs. Her greatest love was being surrounded by her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A thoughtful and giving person, Donna would see to the needs of others ~ she especially enjoyed her visits with her siblings.

Donna will be greatly missed by her husband Ethan C. “Sonny” Doane; her children: Peggy (Michael) Laursen, Nancy (Paul) Taylor, Harold (Sue) Hall, James (Kerrilee) Hall, Gail (Mike) Doane, Ella Doane; her brothers and sister-in-law: Harold Allis, Robert and Alice Allis, Leon Allis. Her sisters: Gladys Cobb and Carol Harford. Her sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Regina and Robert Thompson; Fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and their families also survive.

Donna was predeceased by her parents Leon and Maisie (Lent) Allis; her sister Alberta Baldwin; sisters-in-law: Darlene Allis and Juanita Allis. Abiding with her wishes there will be no services.
