Dontra Lamontra Travers, 47 formerly of Cambridge, departed this life on Monday, July 23, 2018 in Washington, DC. He was born November 19, 1970 in Cambridge, MD, son of the Christine Travers Anderson (Theodore) and Wayne Robinson. Dontra was a 1991 graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School.

Upon graduation, Dontra was employed with many different companies, George Washington Hospital, Washington, DC, Deers Head Nursing Home, Salisbury, MD, Mallard Bay Nursing and Coldwater Seafood to name a few. He was a very quiet, meek and caring person who especially loved the elderly. Dontra loved his family and was very fond of his grandfather, Mr. James Travers Sr. who had a great part in raising him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Michelle Travers (Cambridge, MD), Amber Carter, Emonie Carter and Camelle Newton; two brothers, Steward Robinson and Jermaine Ringgold; four aunts, Rev. Elsie Ennals (Oliver), Lois Dennard (Ivory), Faye Waters (Leon) and Lucina Mundy; three uncles, Edward Mundy (Deborah), James Travers Jr. (Estella) and Michael Robinson (Beverly); two special nephews, Donald Steward Jr. and Damonte Travers; a special niece, Nishia Jamison; two special cousins, Oliver Ennals Jr. and Antwine Ennals, Sr.; four step children, Wilbur Adams (Minnesota), Shanielle Adams (Princess Anne), Danielle Adams and Lanieller Adams (both of Cambridge) and nine step grandchildren; special friend, Mamie Travers and a host of other relatives and friends. Dontra was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Travers Sr. and Rennard “Hank” Humaine; grandmother, Eleanor Robinson, one aunt, Betty Travers and two uncles, Alford Slacum and Rennard Slacum.
