Obituary for Dora (Dodie) Harrison Dora (Dodie) Harrison, formerly of Lake Pleasant, NY, passed away peacefully at River Ridge Living Center, Amsterdam, NY, on October 20, 2018. She was born September 30, 1927, an only daughter to Robert and Nina (White) Morrison. She was predeceased by all of her siblings, her husband Glenn, son Gordon, and grandson Daniel Marcellus.

Dodie earned her bookkeeping and accounting degree from LaSalle University and operated DIBS (Dodie’s Independent Business Service) for over forty years. She was a member of various snowmobile clubs and penned magazine articles for the New York State Outdoor Writer’s Association. She enjoyed all genres of music, yearned to be on or near any body of water, and loved boating, traveling and camping with “the kids”.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Bob) Gosson of Plattsburgh,NY; granddaughter Melissa (Dennis) Brooks of Wells, NY; granddaughter-in-law Jessica Marcellus of Fairfax, Vt; great grandchildren Jocelyn, Jenna,and Aidan Scribner and Sawyer Marcellus; sister-in-law Joan Morrison of Speculator, NY; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or funeral services per Dodie’s wishes.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Northville Funeral Home. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association or the Speculator Ambulance Corps. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.
