Obituary for Doris C. Stuedemann Oxford, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at her home in Oxford, Michigan. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Pytlewski) Abbott, Doris was born on September 28, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Herman Stuedemann on May 22, 1943. He predeceased her on April 29, 1999. Doris was a graduate of St. Andrew High School.

She and her husband, Herman, were founding members of St. Helen Church, now Christ the Good Shepherd Parish. She enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Pistons, loved to play bingo and spending time with her family. Surviving are one daughter and three sons, Sandra Foster and her husband, Dr. James Foster, Orlando, Florida; Robert (Susan) Stuedemann, Traverse City; John (Camille) Stuedemann, Mattawan; Richard (Rachel) Stuedemann, Ortonville; 11 grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony (Mary Jane) Abbott and Jack (Beverly) Abbott.

Doris was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary “Honey” Volk, Joanne Furlo, Frank “Babe” Abbott, Edward “Pete” Abbott, Michael Abbott, Margaret Hardy and Richard “Dick” Abbott. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to Doris’s caregivers for their loving and compassionate care. Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 12, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastoral Associate Tori Little will officiate with interment to follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
