BENOIT, M. Doris (Provost), 87, of the West Warwick Manor, 62 Roberts Street, West Warwick, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at home. She was the wife of the late Eugene L. “Gene” Benoit. Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ledea (Robillard) Provost.

She lived in Vermont for 15 years before returning to West Warwick in 1996. Mrs. Benoit was employed at Leviton Manufacturing for several years before retiring. She was a member of the West Warwick Manor Tenants Association, a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and she enjoyed playing bingo and cards.

She is survived by a son, David A. Gehrken and his wife Elaine of Coventry; a daughter, Barbara A. Thomas of West Warwick; a granddaughter, Melissa Pollock in Florida and two great grandchildren, James and Victoria. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Hamlin. Her funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.
